Role Overview
As a BD Manager / Director, you will own the full BD lifecycle—from prospecting and pitch to negotiation and deal closing. You will shape partnership strategies, build high-impact relationships, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute BD strategies targeting CROs and biotech collaborators.
- Identify, qualify, and engage potential partners through data-driven outreach.
- Lead negotiation of term sheets, contracts, and licensing agreements.
- Manage client relationships and mentor junior BD staff.
- Collaborate with scientific teams to align projects with business goals.
- Track industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market opportunities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of BD experience in biotech/pharma, with a track record of closing partnerships.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project-management abilities.
- Scientific background (PhD or MD preferred) is a plus.
